Tracy Guerrette
Tracy Guerrette grew up in beautiful northern Maine. She was a three sport all-state athlete in high school, winning a state championship in basketball her senior year. Tracy played Division I basketball at the University of Maine, while majoring in Biology/pre-medicine. Upon graduation, she began teaching and coaching varsity sports at the high school level before becoming the Head Women's Basketball Coach at UMaine Presque Isle, a NCAA Division III University. She also served as Sports Information Director for the Athletic Department during this time. In 2011, Tracy became an assistant coach at her alma mater, the University of Maine, serving as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations for the Black Bears. Tracy has served in many capacities of ministry throughout the Diocese of Portland, Maine and also played/coached on several missionary basketball teams which traveled throughout the United States, to Africa and South America. In 2021, Tracy earned a Master's Degree in Theology from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute in Washington DC. Always an athlete, Tracy now enjoys training and competing in running, especially at the marathon distance. In 2017 she won the Maine Marathon and qualified for the 2020 US Olympic Trials.
Abby Pollart
Abby Pollart is the current assistant volleyball coach at Louisiana Tech University. Prior, she had four successful seasons as head coach at the University of Mary, where she led a program defined not only by competitive growth but by exceptional academic achievement. Under her leadership, student-athletes earned 33 Northern Sun All-Academic honors, five Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction selections, and 12 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognitions—reflecting her commitment to developing excellence beyond the court.
Prior to her time at UMary, Pollart served as head coach at Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska, where she quickly built a culture of both performance and discipline. Pollart’s coaching journey also includes roles as an assistant coach at the University of Mary, Concordia University (Nebraska), and South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. She began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas at Monticello and volunteered at Cameron University, building a strong foundation across multiple levels of collegiate athletics.
A devout Catholic, Pollart is deeply committed to investing in her student-athletes as whole persons, fostering growth not only in sport but in character and faith. She is known for building meaningful relationships with her players and creating an environment where they are both challenged and supported.
In addition to her work with athletes, Pollart is passionate about mentoring fellow coaches—sharing her knowledge, forming leaders, and helping others grow in their ability to make a lasting impact on and off the court.
