A coach’s vocation:
Victories Beyond Competition
Coaching is a God-given vocation, as we are called to coach the heart, mind, soul, and body of our athletes. There is a greater purpose in sport than mere victories, competition, and games. Sport can and must be formative; it must contribute to the integral development of the human person. Participation in athletics is an avenue to grow in virtue and holiness. How do we as coaches create a team culture where winning is the objective, yet growth in virtue is the purpose? How can we help our athletes see the intersection of Faith and Sport? In this talk, we will look at the philosophy of coaching, including what the Catholic Church teaches us about the goodness and beauty of Sport.
“The Glory of God is many fully alive” How to live an integrated coaching life

Coaching FIERCE & Feminine
What does it look like to coach from a feminine heart in the culture of today? Using the truth and beauty of John Paul II’s Catechesis of Human Love & teaching of the “Feminine Genius”: this talk encompasses a “Theology of the Body” for coaches. We will dive deeper into the goodness of femininity and how to live out our vocation as mother, daughter, wife, and sister in our coaching career.
student athlete Identity crisis
Navigating the “Hot Topics” and challenges of our Athletic Culture is a vital part for the coach of today. As coaches we have a responsibility to understand the pressure and issues that young athletes are facing, such as mental health, disordered eating, same-sex attraction and transgender ideologies. We are tasked with the privilege of helping young athletes the goodness of their identity as Sons and Daughters of God - and therefore play in Freedom and the fullness of Joy.
Coaching like christ: growth in holiness through sport
Cultivating a “contemplative life” is an integral part of coaching. Using Christ as our model for our coaching vocation, we understand the crucial necessity of living a life of prayer and balance. Living the demands of coaching…stress of high stakes/performance, the draining nature of recruiting, time spent traveling and away from family… all can leave us barely surviving. How can WE become coaches of prayer while pursuing lives of holiness and contemplation.
